Palma Pastrana Ruiz

Palma Pastrana Ruiz, of El Jebel, died July 6, 2005, in Chihuahua, Mexico.

She was born May 6, 1945, in Ignacio Allende, Chihuahua, to Gil Pastrana and Francisca Apodaca.

Palma married Jerardo Ruiz in 1962. She was a housewife and employed by the Sardi House and the Snowmass Club for many years.

She is survived by her husband; sons Sergio Ruiz, Gumaro Ruiz, Manuel Ruiz, and Cesar Gerardo Ruiz; daughter, Norma Ruiz; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Palma was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and a daughter, Christina Ruiz.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home; and from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kathryn Senor Elementary School in New Castle.

The funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of Carbondale, with the Rev. Paul Perea officiating.

Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Carbondale after the funeral.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Farnum-Holt Funeral Home.
