One Glenwood Springs grandmother is looking for music to ease a difficult time in her young grandson's life.
With the help of several musician friends, Tereasa Baker - whose daughter Eva Baker died Dec. 18 from injuries received in a car accident on Highway 82 - has organized the "Rock with a Reason" benefit concert.
The event, at 6 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo Valley, supports the Bryan Baker Foundation, which was established for Tereasa's grandson, who survived the crash.
The all-ages benefit concert features five bands - The Big Rig, The Dags, Powderhounds, Cole Campbell and Cowboy Attitude - for $20 per person at the door. Additional donations are welcome for the fund.
"I have wonderful friends. ... They have put this together," said Tereasa, via e-mail correspondence, of friend Lonnie Sandoval, lead singer of Cowboy Attitude, A.J. Rothburg of the Powderhounds, and Tim Bradly of The Big Rig.
