GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. — Get those costumes ready for Saturday's Yagatta Regatta raft floatilla, kayak race and festival in Two Rivers Park.
Festival gates open at 11 a.m., and rafts hit the water at 11:30 a.m. from Grizzly Creek.
The family-friendly event features live music by The Nacho Men, The Sirens, Acoustic Mayhem, and Frank Martin and The Postmark Band, beer tastings, food, and children's activities.
The Regatta supports Operation Vacation, a program that provides military personnel who have fought overseas with all-expenses-paid trips to Glenwood.
A new feature of this year's regatta is the kayak race to benefit the proposed Glenwood Whitewater Park and Operation Vacation. Registration takes place from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Two Rivers Park. Preregistration is at Glenwood Canyon Kayak, 100 Midland Ave., Suite 240, or by calling 928-9949.
Registration is required for all boaters. Rafters can call Whitewater Rafting, 945-8477. For more information, call 945-1010 or visit

Also featured this year for the first time is an art exchange allowing artists and the general public to sell works from their own collections. A portion of the sale proceeds benefit Operation Vacation.
