Rifle (1-0) at Delta (0-1), 7 p.m.

Rangely (0-1) at Coal Ridge (0-1), 7 p.m.
It was a Jekyll-Hyde performance for Coal Ridge last week at Hayden. The Titans, in just their second year of varsity football, carried a 26-0 deficit into halftime against the Tigers. That was the bad half. The good news: Coal Ridge kept Hayden's offense scoreless and made the score stand in the second half, confounding Hayden coach Shawn Baumgartner in the process.
"I just can't put my thumb on it - it was like two different games with two different halves," he told the Steamboat Springs Pilot and Today after the game.
This week, the 2A Titans face Class 1A Rangely, which took its licks in a 56-13 loss to Olathe last week.
Grand Valley (1-0) at Basalt (0-1), 7:30 p.m.
Class 1A Grand Valley looks to make it 2-0 against the 2A classification at Basalt after a 28-14 win over Aspen last week. The Cards looked sharp in dispatching of the Skiers, with quarterback Matt Cain completing 8 of 10 passes for 124 yards and a TD.
Receiver Tyler Jensen was the primary recipient of Cain's tosses, hauling in five catches for 61 yards, and Colton Cowan added a pair of long TD runs to pace Grand Valley, which last year made the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
Basalt enters tonight's game on the heels of an 8-7 loss at Meeker.
Roaring Fork (0-1) at Eagle Valley (1-0), 7 p.m.
A young Roaring Fork team looks to right its football ship against Eagle Valley, the Rams' second Class 3A opponent in as many weeks. It won't be easy against Eagle, which vaulted to 10th in Class 3A in the latest RockyPreps' poll with a 20-7 win over a Summit team previously rated in the top 10.
With all the matchups against bigger schools, the Rams should be well prepared to tangle with their 2A peers by the time they open WSL play against Olathe next week.
