"The Beckoning" is one of several pieces by Joel Belmont (photography) and Lili Belmont (painting) on display this month at The Artist's Mercantile in Glenwood Springs. The husband-and-wife team utilize a technique called oilography, in which black-and-white photographs are mounted on large panels and then abstractly painted over in oil paint.
