How long have you volunteered at the Hotel Colorado? It's my sixth year.
What keeps you coming back? I think part of the fun is meeting so many new people. The more I do it, the more people I get to see each year.
What's the best part of being in Glenwood Springs? It's the people, the mountains, the history. You can't beat it. It's not snowing this year. That helps.
What's your favorite thing about the holidays? I think family has to be number one. Watching the kids open their presents. And when they fire off the fireworks here, it's just magic.
What's the first thing you'd do if you won the lottery? Make sure everyone was taken care of. That my friends and family didn't have to work, and the bills were paid off.
What do you do in your spare time? I like fishing, camping, water skiing.
Ever had an event change your life? Well 9/11, that was huge. I think it changed the whole world. It makes you watch people a little more than we did. Makes you realize who your true friends are.
Best piece of advice you've received? I think it's the old one: Do unto others as you would want done unto you.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A magician. Didn't make it. Still love magic, though.
If you had only three TV channels, what would you watch? Court TV, Fox News and ESPN.
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you talk about? If I could bring my dad back, that would be number one. If he were here right now, we'd talk about decorating the hotel and how long it's been here. It's great when people see what you're doing.
What's the greatest invention of all time? The cell phone.
What's the most important thing in your life? My family ... and winning the lottery (Laughing).
