Toy giveaway: There was a small mountain of toys piled up in front of the KJEB radio office in Glenwood Springs on Christmas Eve. The event was a toy giveaway for local children sponsored by the Spanish-language La Nueva Mix radio show, 94.5 FM. The show has been on the air for three months so far and runs for three hours, 7-10 p.m., Monday through Friday. Disc jockey Compa Chava raised money by holding community dances to help buy the toys.
