Valentine balloons
Alpine Christian Academy’s Senior Class will be taking orders for Valentine’s Balloon Bouquets. A dozen home-baked cookies and three helium balloons will be delivered to your valentine on Thursday, Feb. 14. Delivery will be made to most areas in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Trip of Hope
A Sweet Heart Ball will be held at 5 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Carbondale Fire Headquarters, 301 Meadowood Road in Carbondale. The event is a fundraiser to help send Kasie Burtard to India on a Trip of Hope.
The evening’s festivities include music by Heart of the Rockies, food by Big Mama Catering and local chefs, and a silent auction.

An Exquisite Design of Rifle and the Rifle Area Relay for Life have teamed up to fight cancer. For every delivery this Valentine’s Day, An Exquisite Design will donate the delivery fee to the Rifle Area Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

Betsy Schenk and Brad Vierhaller will perform a concert of love songs for Valentine’s Day 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the upper lobby of the Valley View Hospital. Lunch will be available.

The Defiance Community Players of Glenwood Springs presents their 2008 Valentine’s Day Dessert comedy, “Greater Tuna,” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14-15 and Feb. 21-23 at the Blue Acacia theatre (Masonic Lodge), 901 Colorado Ave. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
