Cornish joins Tide Me Over

Clark joins ROFINTUG
April E. Clark is the newly appointed public relations/marketing director for rof.net, otherwise known as Roaring Fork Internet Users Group (ROFINTUG). Rof.net is a nonprofit Internet service provider that has provided genuine, local information technology services and support to the Roaring Fork Valley since 1995. Clark’s duties include developing public relations strategies and marketing initiatives and managing Web site design.

Clark, a freelance writer whose “April Back in Glenwood” column appears every other Tuesday in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, also manages public relations efforts for Operation Vacation. The national program provides all expenses-paid vacations to soldiers who have served overseas and their families.

New stylist joins Creekside
Kristie Dick, of Rifle, is the newest cosmetologist at Creekside Day Spa, located at 386 W. Main St. in New Castle, across the street from the New Castle Branch Library.

She will begin working today, Feb. 11.

Creekside day spa offers hair care services including haircuts, colors, hair styling, deep conditionings, scalp treatments.

Sturges honored
Luke Sturges received the “Doin’ All We Can” award for professional and personal service for 2007 from the Theodore Financial Group Inc. of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. The award was given at their annual meeting at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs Feb. 2.

Luke is a 1998 graduate of Glenwood Springs High School and 2002 graduate of Miami University (Ohio). He has been employed with Northwestern Mutual since July of 2002.

Luke and his wife, Candace, reside in Denver.
