Two suspects in Glenwood Springs burglaries enter pleas

Case includes string of burglaries that occurred last summer, fall

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado — Two men accused of involvement in a string of burglaries last summer and fall entered pleas Thursday.

William Riddle pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and will be sentenced on May 1. Khory Gagner pleaded not guilty to two burglary counts and two misdemeanor counts of theft, according to the Garfield County Combined Courts office. A jury trial is scheduled for June 23.

Authorities arrested five adult suspects and implicated three juveniles in late November. The adults, all under 20 at the time, were each accused of being involved with some of a string of 38 burglaries at businesses in Glenwood Springs,

Carbondale and Garfield County beginning in July. Business owners were shocked
after the weekend of Oct. 20 when several downtown Glenwood businesses were
burglarized. Among them were the Glenwood Canyon Brew Pub, Eighth Street Deli,
Sacred Grounds, Auto Glass Specialists, Fiesta Guadalajara and businesses in the
Grand Central Station next to Sacred Grounds.

In December, the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office filed 35 charges against
Bradley Guyon, including burglary and theft charges. Sean Egan was charged with
33 similar counts including an aggravated motor vehicle theft and a vehicular eluding
charge. Riddle was charged with 13 burglary-related counts and David Iuele
received nine burglary-related charges.

Egan, Guyon and Iuele haven’t entered pleas. Egan and Guyon will appear April 17
and Iuele is scheduled to appear today.
