When did you move to Garfield County and why? 1986; new location for my job and my husband grew up here and wanted to move back.
Whats the best part of your job at the train station? Probably the people. The people I work with and the people in general. I have a lot of regular customers.
Whats the most unique aspect of your position? Making sure that everything is kept up. We have to do all the cleaning and all the snow removal during the winter. Tickets and baggage and keeping everything going.
First thing youd buy after winning the lottery? If it were a big one, Id spend some money on the station itself. I would like to fix it up.
What do you do in your spare time? Ski, work out at the hot springs health club, walk and gardening.
One thing you hope to accomplish in your life? Finish remodeling my house. You need time and money. Its a continual thing where you start one project and another one presents itself.
Whats your favorite mode of transportation when traveling? It depends on the distance. Train, driving or flying. But the only time I fly is when I really have to.
Farthest distance traveled by train? Chicago, San Francisco or Los Angeles.
Most interesting place youve visited? Tahiti. We went to Bora Bora on our Honeymoon in 1981. I would love to go back.
Best piece of advice youve received? Live honestly.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? When I was in school I was leaning toward bookkeeping.
If you had only three TV channels, what would you watch? Channel 9 from Denver, Hallmark and Discovery.
