CARBONDALE, Colorado — The Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team said Wednesday it arrested two men and seized almost a half-ounce of cocaine Friday.
Ramon Alonso Escandon Baca, 32, and Eduardo Lopez Garcia, 31, were both arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession and cocaine possession with the intent to distribute, according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
“On March 21, the Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team (TRIDENT) conducted an operation in the town of Carbondale, with the assistance of the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Glenwood Springs Police Department,” a TRIDENT news release says. “TRIDENT officers received intelligence of a possible drug deal that led to the town of Carbondale. TRIDENT officers observed two vehicles park next to one another in the Family Dollar parking lot after hours. One of the vehicles is known to TRIDENT officers as being involved in the buying and selling of cocaine. When the driver of one of the vehicles got into the back seat of the second vehicle TRIDENT officers made contact and placed two men into custody.”
