Glenwood Springs
March 27: Drug paraphernalia — Police responded to the courthouse when security personnel reported finding drug paraphernalia in a man’s jacket. John Grant Sampson, 48, of Carbondale, was cited with possession of drug paraphernalia.
March 27: Petty theft — Police responded to a report of a theft. The business manager said a woman they had detained took jewelry worth $45.71. Kayla Nelson, 18, of Gypsum, was cited with petty theft.
March 26: Employee theft — Police responded to a report of an employee theft incident at a convenience store. The employee, Kelsie Anne Feldman, 18, of New Castle, allegedly stole more than $2,300 in gift cards from the store and spent the funds at other locations with Ashley Janell Johnson, 18, of Rifle. Feldman was arrested on suspicion of theft and unauthorized use of a financial transaction device. Johnson was arrested on suspicion of theft.
March 25: Cocaine — Police contacted Neal Anthony Ring, 32, of Glenwood Springs, on an outstanding warrant and allegedly found him carrying a gram of cocaine. He was arrested for the warrant and on suspicion of cocaine possession.
March 25: Animal at large — Police issued Annette Telles, 31, of Glenwood Springs, animal running at large and vicious animal citations.
March 25: Animal disturbing the peace — Police issued Barbara Floria Orcutt, 46, of Glenwood Springs, an animal disturbing the peace citation.
March 24: Underage consumption — Police responded to a report of a theft at a local convenience store. Police cited Roxann Venegas, 18, of Glenwood Springs, with underage consumption or possession of alcohol. The next day, police cited Ibra Dia, 35, of Glenwood Springs, with unlawfully selling or serving alcohol to an underage person.
Rifle
March 23: Assault — Police responded to a report of a woman chasing a man on Airport Road. Police believe Tana Hayden injured the alleged victim with a knife. She was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence.
March 22: Disturbance — Police answered a report of a disturbance on the 3000 block of Coalmine Avenue. They believe Branden Coats, 38, of Rifle, committed criminal mischief with domestic violence as a factor. Police also arrested Coats on suspicion of second-degree assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest.
March 22: Paraphernalia — Police discovered during a traffic stop that Spencer Lucas, 18, of Rifle, was driving with a revoked license and allegedly had drug paraphernalia. He was cited, and police impounded his vehicle.
March 22: Assault — Police responded to a disturbance on the 700 block of Hutton Avenue. They determined that two men argued and one assaulted the other. Richard H. Keaton, 39, of Rifle, was arrested and cited with harassment.
March 22: Harassment — Police took a report of a disturbance on the 2600 block of Acacia Avenue. They arrested Daniel Byrd, 44, of Rifle, on suspicion of harassment.
