Community news & notes

Free literacy night

Thunder River Theatre Company presents a free literary night at 7 p.m. Monday, April 7. During this special evening, featuring Rudolfo Anaya, TRTC is participating in The Big Read, a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) initiative designed to restore reading to the center of American culture.

From April 4 through May 5, in partnership with the Aspen Writers Foundation (AWF) and the Pitkin County Library, TRTC will take part in this community-based reading campaign that aims to get as many people as possible in a given area reading and talking about the same book at the same time, Anaya’s “Bless Me, Ultima.”

For more information, call 963-8200, or visit www.thunderrivertheatre.com.
