Update Earth! at CRES
Students at Crystal River Elementary School invite you to attend a performance of “Update Earth!” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24.
The third grade has been learning different ways to sustain the earth such as recycling, reducing and reusing. Students will take the audience through a musical journey, learning about vehicles that run on french fry oil, going green, and how to “funkify not junkify” the earth.
For more information, contact Amber Henke at 384-5637.
Bullying expert to speak
The Roaring Fork Family Resource Centers will host Ron Glodoski, author, speaker and entrepreneur from 6:30-8 p.m. April 24 at Roaring Fork High School. Glodoski is a national expert on bullying, resiliency and drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse.

This free event requires no reservation.
Child care will be offered by donation.
The RFFRC will host a teacher training led by Ron Glodoski that will be open to the education community. This free training will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. April 24 at Roaring Fork High School. Please RSVP to Betsy McMichael at 384-5694 or

New ‘green’ class schedule
Colorado Mountain College is making a move toward sustainability by introducing a newly formatted “green” class schedule for the summer semester.
In the past, CMC has distributed a 60- to 70-page course schedule to the 11 locations the college serves. The new class schedule is a simple, small tabloid of all the comprehensive community college’s classes offered at any particular campus. One thing the new schedule won’t include is class descriptions. A full listing of class descriptions and information is available online at
www.coloradomtn.edu/classes.
Summer classes start the week of May 12, and registration begins April 14. To pick up a copy of the new schedule for CMC’s summer semester, check your mail.
