William Glen Evans passed away April 15, 2008, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where he has resided for many years.
He was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Grand Junction, to William Lowell and Rose Hunnel Evans.
Bill graduated from Rifle Union High School in 1944.
He served in the Navy Seabees during World War II from 1944-46.
Bill loved to read and dance. He was a great cook and was very active in the Eagles Lodge.
Bill is survived by daughters Sherrie and Lorlyn; sons Gary Evans and David Evans (currently serving in Baghdad); stepchildren Kathy (Steve) Woolsey of Rifle, Kimberly and Darwin; brother Paul (Diane) Evans of California; sisters May Page of Arizona and Mary Elder of Rifle; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family; and two very special friends, Don and DeEtta Becker of Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by daughter Peggy Ann; and brother Kenneth Ross Evans.
Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time.
