Amanda (Irene) Green passed away April 11, 2008, of natural causes at Heritage P ark Care Center in Carbondale.
Irene was born May 7, 1919, in Alluwe, Okla., to William and Mamie Camden.
She moved to the Carbondale area in 1936.
Irene married Bud Green in 1939, and they had three children. She helped work the Green farm on Missouri Heights. Her family was the most important thing to her, she loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who loved her so much. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with the family. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and sewing.
She was a beautiful, sweet spirit, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by son R. Leon (Betty) Green of Carbondale; daughter Georgia (Steve) Ochko of Glenwood Springs; grandchildren Rodney Green of Littleton, Dana Carrasco of Montrose, Steven Ochko of Carbondale, Marty Ochko of Denver and Buddy “Bo” Mason; and six great-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband; and daughter Deanna Mason.

There will be no public service. There will be a celebration of her life with family and friends later this spring.
