Name: Bryan Conard

Age: 40

Residence: Aspen

Favorite outdoor activity: It's a toss-up between snowboarding and mountain biking.

Least favorite outdoor activity: Digging a ditch.

How long have you been mountain biking? Well I've lived in Aspen for about 18 years, so about that long.

What's the best mountain biking adventure? I went on a bike trip from Aspen to Crested Butte about 15 years ago and one of the guys I was with was unprepared for the trip. It was also his first mountain biking trip and he was also hypoglycemic or something. By the time we got to Crystal City, right above Crested Butte, he was done. He had to have another person give him a ride into town.

Favorite place to mountain bike? Moab, Utah. Just outside Moab has some of the best trials I've ridden. You can't beat it.

Most memorable injury? That would have to be a snowboarding one when I was in New Zealand. They don't mark any obstacles over there and I got 55 stitches and a blown up hip. I couldn't walk for days.
