Ritter signs two school safety bills

Print Comment
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Gov. Bill Ritter has signed two school-safety bills into law, including a measure that establishes a new Colorado School Safety Resource Center.

The governor says the resource center was established because of the shootings at Columbine High School in 1999 and Platte Canyon High School in 2006.

Ritter says no child, parent or teacher should ever have to endure that kind of terror again.
