Why did you join the Army? For my kids. I have two other children from another marriage and the military benefits and everything are great. That is why I joined. But now that Im in, Id like to make a career out of it.
Where have you been deployed? Nowhere yet.
What was your favorite place youve been stationed? The only place Ive been stationed yet is Fort Carson in Colorado Springs.
What military experience most surprised you? So far basic training has been the most surprising. It was a little tougher than I thought it would be.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like to do a lot of outdoors stuff; Fishing, hiking, just about anything in the outdoors.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A race car driver. I love cars and do a lot of work on cars, so being a race car driver would be cool.
Best piece of advice youve ever received: Ill have to think about that one. I cant come up with it on the spot.
If you could invite any three individuals in history to dinner, who would you invite, what would you serve, and what would you talk about?
Lets see, Hank Aaron, I wrote a paper on him in like the fourth grade and learned a lot about him.
Whats your most memorable military experience? It just happened Thursday. It was a memorial for a fallen soldier in another branch of our company. I didnt personally know him, but some of the guys in my company did. It was the first memorial service I have been to, and it was pretty memorable.
What are you looking forward to doing while in Glenwood Springs?
The Hot Springs Pool is the thing Im looking forward to the most. We just finished lunch and Im looking to go there right now. But there is a lot to do here, so we will have to do as much as we can.
