Opal Maxine Ong, 90, of Parachute, passed away June 3, 2008, in Rifle.
Opal was born Jan. 28, 1918, in Moline, Kan., to Hindrix and Ruth (Bonny) Martin.
She married Martin L. Ong April 5, 1936, in Las Animas.
She was employed as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Friends (Quaker) Church and Epsilon Sigma Alpha-Past State President.
She is survived by son Fredrick L. Ong of Kingman, Ariz.; daughters Georgia L. Knight of Parachute, and L. Harline McQuarrie of Dinosaur; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Opal was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in 1986.
Services will be held at a later date.
