String theory

A free public dialogue on String Theory and the Structure of the Universe with Professor Shamit Kachru, Stanford University, will be held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 3, at the Aspen Center for Physics, Sixth and Gillespie in Aspen.

Big Bang cosmology has been a very successful framework for understanding the universe over the past 40 years. Theories of cosmic inflation, how they may emerge from string theory and how future experiments may find striking signatures of the stringy origin of the universe will be discussed.
