Parenting through divorce
A Parenting Through Divorce seminar will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in Carbondale. The seminar is designed to equip parents with the skills to raise healthy, well-adjusted children despite the challenges of divorce. It is required to finalize divorces in many jurisdictions.

Yesterday’s Memories, Tomorrow’s Dreams
The Garfield County Fair will kick off Friday, Aug. 1, with a carnival, series of horse shows and pie and cookie baking contests; culminating Saturday, Aug. 9, with the Garfield County Fair Parade and a car show.
Most of the events take place at the Garfield County Fairgrounds, but some will occur at other venues in the town of Rifle. Events include a CPRA Rodeo, junior and senior rodeo event, community dance and movie nights, air show, concert featuring Night Ranger and Chris Cagle, and dozens of 4H, Future Farmers of America and Open Class exhibits and contests.
