Grand Valley volleyball team continued its vastly improved play as they familiarize themselves with the 2A league when they narrowly dropped a five game match with Basalt on Tuesday evening.
Basalt prevailed with a 15-13 win in the tie-breaking, fifth game of the match.
“We’re really happy with the improvement we’re showing,” said Grand Valley head coach David Walck. “We lost 15-13 in game five against a team that won the league last year in Basalt. We fought, I think we’re getting better and better and I’m really proud of the girls because we’ve shown so much progress in a short amount of time.”
Grand Valley fell to 1-4 on the year.
