Grand Valley volleyball team continued its vastly improved play as they familiarize themselves with the 2A league when they narrowly dropped a five game match with Basalt on Tuesday evening.
Basalt prevailed with a 15-13 win in the tie-breaking, fifth game of the match.
Were really happy with the improvement were showing, said Grand Valley head coach David Walck. We lost 15-13 in game five against a team that won the league last year in Basalt. We fought, I think were getting better and better and Im really proud of the girls because weve shown so much progress in a short amount of time.
Grand Valley fell to 1-4 on the year.
