Parenting through divorce
A Parenting Through Divorce seminar will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at 243 Sopris Ave. in Carbondale. The class will equip parents with skills to raise well-adjusted children, despite the challenges of the divorce process.

The 54th annual Aspen Ski Swap will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Aspen High School.
Eagles membership drive, shows
Upcoming all-ages shows at the Glenwood Springs Eagles Club, 312 Seventh St., will be the Drum, bass and Beat Show featuring Tetra Oct. 24; a “Metal Halloween party” with seven live metal bands Oct. 31; and a Hip Hop Show and CD Release party featuring Black Pegasus, Bobby Hook and Trigga Nov. 7.
Used book sale
The Friends of the Glenwood Springs Library will hold its fall used book sale through Oct. 11. Library volunteers estimate there are well over 15,000 used hardback and paperback books for sale, including works of fiction and non-fiction, and both adult and children’s books. Books are sorted by category.
The Library is located at 413 Ninth St., and the sale is held in the basement. Book donations are gratefully accepted year-round, during the library’s regular hours of operation.
