Send a little bit of love to Iraq

Alida Eide, Senior Girl Scout, Troop 285, Glenwood Springs, is teaming up with Operation Vacation to send Girl Scout cookies to the U.S. Troops in Iraq. She is asking the community to buy boxes of cookies and then donate them to the soldiers. With the help of Operation Vacation, the cookies will be shipped to Iraq.

Alida’s goal is to send to the troops 2,500 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Orders will be taken from Jan. 9-25.

To donate, please send a note with the number of boxes you would like to donate with a check made out to Girl Scouts. Send to Operation Vacation, P.O. Box 2371, Glenwood Springs, Co 81602, Attn: Girl Scouts.

For more information, please contact Nancy Eide at 618-3740.
