Grizzlies up for more action this weekend
Today, the Glenwood Grizzly Midget Major A team returns to Lakewood to take on the Jr. Eagles at 11:15 a.m., for the second consecutive week. The Grizzly Pee Wee A team is also in Lakewood, taking on the Jr. Eagles at 12:30 p.m., right after the Midget game. The Midget Major team then travels to Greeley to play the Renegades at Mountain States Ice Arena at 6 p.m. The Bantams continue their play against Aspen on Saturday evening at 6 p.m., but this time the game is at the Lewis Ice Arena in Aspen.
On Sunday, the Midget Major team has it's second weekend game against the Renegades at 10:30 a.m., at the Mountain States Ice Arena.
The Pee Wee team wraps up weekend play with a 12:15 p.m. game against the Jr. Eagles in Lakewood. Games are free and open to the public. More information about the team is available at www.grizzlyhockey.org.
Sign up for spring soccer in Carbondale
The Carbondale Soccer Club is currently accepting player registrations for boys and girls in divisions U6-U18 (Pre-K through 12th grade) for the spring season. The deadline is Jan. 15. Registration forms are available at the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center, area schools or online at www.carbondalesoccerclub.org. For more information please call 704-1838. EAC FitSwap is Jan. 17
Exclusive Athletic Club is holding a FitSwap event on Jan. 17. This is a chance for you to bring your gently used fitness accessories and apparel items to the club and swap them for something you can use. There is no charge to swap items and those with nothing to exchange, but who would like to shop, may buy vouchers to pick up items at low prices. All monies collected will go to charity.
In addition, the general public may purchase a day pass for use of the Exclusive Athletic Club facilities on Jan. 17 for just $2 (the regular price is $10). Product samples and healthy refreshments will be served.
