BATTLEMENT MESA, Colorado Two people in ski masks robbed a Kum & Go convenience store of an undisclosed amount of money on Sunday night.
The robbery occurred a little after 9:30 p.m. at the store location near Tamarisk Trail and Stone Quarry Road.
The clerk was held at gunpoint, and the suspects fled with stolen cash, the Garfield County Sheriffs Office said in a news release.
The suspects appeared to be men about 5 feet and 6 to 9 inches tall and looked to be of a medium build, the Sheriffs Office said.
Authorities were searching for suspects Sunday night with the help of dogs and were also looking at security video footage.
A Kum & Go employee said Monday no one locally could comment on the robbery. Community Relations Deputy Tanny McGinnis said more information wasnt being released because it could jeopardize the investigation.
The Sheriffs Office is searching for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of suspects. Anyone can remain anonymous and earn up to $1,000 by leaving a message with Garfield County Crime Stoppers at 945-0101.
