Volunteering fun
Volunteering can be lots of fun, as is the case for Holly Adelman's third grade class as they help to sort yarn skeins for the Threads of Love prayer shawl knitting group at Valley View Hospital. A huge truckload of donated yarns was delivered to the hospital and the students of St. Stephens School were there Wednesday to help untangle and sort the lots by color. The students also have plans to learn to knit hats for newborns at the hospital and squares for prayer shawls as part of their on-going service project for their community. Shown from left, Mary Fuller, Savannah Kelley and Elena Thomas laugh as they work. Also shown in background is classmate Brianna Perkins.
