I do know he’s a fantasy stalwart

I don’t know if he is the best, but he certainly was great on my fantasy football team. Then I made the stupid decision of trading him for Antonio Gates and Donald Driver in a 2-for-1 deal that did me no good.

Fitzgerald just kept racking up the fantasy points week after week.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane …

It’s a bird … it’s a plane … faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap short defensive backs in a single bound … it’s LARRY FITZGERALD!!

As you may know, I’ve been rooting hard for Kurt Warner and the Cardinals throughout the playoffs, and have witnessed Number ‘leven’s kangaroo katches with grateful incredulity.

Not since Steve Smith took the Panthers to the big game a few years back has a receiver taken over games like Fitzgerald. And somehow, he does it without pulling a cell phone out of his socks, stomping on the opposition’s field decal, running over meter maids, or any of the many knuckleheaded acts of the other prima ballerinas at his position.

Maybe it’s Warner’s character rubbing off — his receivers (Bruce and Holt) in St. Looie were also spectacular and classy.

Yep, Fitz is the best — on and off the field.
