CARBONDALE, Colorado The Roaring Fork Family Resource Centers has been awarded a $32,000 grant from the Aspen Community Foundation to provide health-related services to students and families in the Roaring Fork School District.
The resource centers serve the communities of Glenwood Springs, Carbondale and Basalt, assisting students and their families in gaining access to health care and other community services.
The grant from the Aspen Community Foundation will give us additional resources to provide services to families in the community, said Jenny Lindsay, administrative director of the Roaring Fork Family Resource Centers.
Over the past 14 years the Roaring Fork Family Resource Centers has received more than $650,000 in unrestricted, targeted and donor-advised fund grants from the Aspen Community Foundation.
In addition to its Student Health and Well-Being Program, the Family Resource Centers provides a variety of free and low-cost parenting classes, and provides health education resources to students, classrooms, teachers and parents.
