VFW poppy sale a success
VFW Post 3485, made up of veterans from Battlement Mesa and Parachute, thanks the many folks that contributed to the sale of poppies on the Saturday before Memorial Day. Some people worry that the younger people in our communities dont appreciate the service and sacrifices made by armed forces men and women. This is to acknowledge that we gratefully received contributions from high school age people up to senior citizens. All of the money received will be used for the benefit of those who have served and are serving to keep our republic safe and secure. Thanks, folks.

Cindy beautifies downtown
This is a bit overdue, but I want to extend great kudos and a sincere thank-you for your efforts to Cindy Svatos, her helpers and the city for making downtown Glenwood look particularly beautiful this spring. I dont think the downtown has ever looked more colorful than it did this spring. Your hard work is noticed and appreciated. Thank you.Suzanne M. Stewart
