GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado — The 112th Strawberry Days continues through the weekend, including the annual parade at 10 a.m. today on Grand Avenue and a host of activities in Sayre Park both days.

Artisans booths and the food court open at 10 a.m. both days, and the Brown's Amusements Carnival opens at the Glenwood Springs Mall at 10:30 a.m. both days.

Here's a look at the music line-up on the Main Stage at Sayre Park:

The Sirens

• 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sayre Park Main Stage

It's hard to sit still when The Sirens are going off on stage. This local dance band has been rousing people off their feet all around the valley since the 1980s, playing countless fundraisers, parties and weddings. Singers Barb Cyr, Roberta Lewis and Jill Strong join musicians Steve Cole (sax), Frank Martin (guitar and vocals), Dan Rosenthal (drums), Karen Tafejian (keyboards) and Ken Wiencek (bass) for an energetic blend of soul, rock, funk, disco, reggae and jazz. There's a little something for everyone when The Sirens take the stage.

The Informants

• 7 p.m. Saturday, Sayre Park Main Stage

The 2008 Denver Westword Music Showcase Best Blues Band is coming to Glenwood Springs, bringing its signature hip juke-joint sound along for the ride. Members of the Denver-based The Informants are known for mixing modern and vintage sounds with clever songwriting, winning various awards for original blues music. The band is also a winner of Westword's 2007 Best Denver Releases for its debut album, “Stiletto Angel,” as well as Best Bar Band. The Informants have been featured on Dan Aykroyd's House of Blues Radio Hour and nominated for 2009 Blues Artist on The Rise by the Blues Festival Guide.

Glenwood Springs High School Genuine Jazz Combo

• 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Sayre Park Main Stage

Celebrate Father's Day with Walter Gorra, Jazz Aspen Snowmass Band Battle 2009 Outstanding High School Musician, and The Genuine Jazz Combo. The ensemble features young students of music from across the valley. Post Independent intern Cailey Arensman joins The Genuine Jazz Combo, which includes members of the Glenwood Springs High School Jazz Band — JAS Band Battle 2009 Best High School — as a vocalist. Enjoy jazz favorites and support the arts with an afternoon concert in the park with Dad.

The Glenwood Percussion Ensemble

• 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sayre Park Main Stage

Hear the second place winners of the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association State Championships before the Strawberry Days music comes to a close with Denver's Alive on Arrival. The Glenwood Percussion Ensemble features student musicians from Glenwood Springs High School and Glenwood Springs Middle School. Sunday's concert offers the community a glimpse at award-winning percussion talent, and may attract new recruits for the group's summer and fall seasons and for future competitions, including the world championships in Dayton, Ohio, in the spring of 2010.

Alive on Arrival

• 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sayre Park Main Stage

Denver's Alive on Arrival is a melting pot of musical talent and genres. Band members bring talent honed across the country, and around the world, for a funky mix of originals and covers, such as “Girl From Ipanema,” “Jump Jiving Wale,” “Sexual Healing,” and “The Sky is Crying,” AOA has played the “CBS This Morning with Paula Zahn and Harry Smith” show, the “Lewis & Floorwax” show on Fox radio, the Telluride Jazz Festival, and Ocktoberfest in Denver, just to name a few.
