Live painting in Carbondale

Cowboy church forming
The Missouri Heights community is starting a “cowboy church” on Sunday mornings at the historic Missouri Heights School.The congregation is looking for musicians who would like to play and sing. More time for music
Community Concert Association president Sue Ludtke has announced an extension of the membership campaign until July 10. An adult may attend five world-class concerts beginning in September for only $35; students may attend for only $15. The events will include a tribute to violinist Jascha Heifetz in March and the Harry James Orchestra next April. Members may attend concerts in Craig, Delta/Montrose, and Grand Junction under a reciprocity agreement. Support for survivors after suicide
A new chapter of HEARTBEAT — Support for Survivors After Suicide — is now available to valley residents. Anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one through suicide is welcome. This group does not provide or replace therapy; it is a safe place where mutual support can be found from others who share this unique pain. HEARTBEAT meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs. Use the Bethel Chapel entrance of the church located at 824 Cooper St.
