Montana Garfield Blackburn was born to Christopher and Martha Blackburn on Aug. 25, 1932 in Jordan, Mont. He passed away in Rifle on July 26, 2009.
Montana enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, Lois, his children and grandchildren. His passion in life was fishing. He was blessed by the love of his wife and family, and was loved by all who knew him.
Montana was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, earlier this year.
Montana is survived by his daughter, Janet (R.K.) Spencer from Littleton; his two sons, Michael (Misun) Blackburn from Denver and Steven Blackburn from Parachute; six grandchildren, Jake, Aubrey, Amber, Austin, Hanna and Logan and two sisters, Nellie and Judy.
Interment is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Grand Junction.
The family will have a celebration of Montana's life on Saturday, Sept. 12, 3 p.m., at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Denver, CO.
