Roedell-Miller wedding

Wesley Miller and Tracy Roedell were united in marriage Oct. 16 along the White River above Meeker. The bride is the daughter of Tom and Terry Roedell of Mooreland, Okla. Wes is the son of Bob and Karen Miller of Rifle, and he attended school in Glenwood Springs.

The newlyweds are graduates of Northwestern Oklahoma State University. They live in Alva, Okla., where Wes has a construction company and Tracy is employed at the university.

McDow graduates basic training

Air Force Airman Jacqueline G. McDow graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

She is the granddaughter of Frances G. McDow of County Road 60, Rifle, and David Drury Jr. of Folkston, Ga.

McDow is a 2006 graduate of Meeker High School.

Helfenbeins welcome Mason

Stephanie and Nathan Helfenbein, of Redstone, are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, son Mason Stephen Helfenbein, at 10:44 p.m. Oct. 17, 2009, at Valley View Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 191⁄2 inches long at birth.

Proud grandparents are Steve and Debbie Onorofskie of Glenwood Springs; Ken Helfenbein and Darcy Brown of Moab, UT, and Lisa Dancing-Light of Carbondale.
