Beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend, John Dale Charlesworth was born Sept. 18, 1945, in Collbran, Colorado to John Delbert Charlesworth and Mickey Kiggins Charlesworth. John passed away in Glenwood Springs Nov. 10, 2009.

John Dale was a Colorado native who loved the outdoors and living a simple life with his sweetheart and wife of almost 37 years, Joy Charlesworth. Together John dale and Joy raised two wonderful children, John Eric and Jamie Charlesworth. His grandchildren Austin, Maya and Kaitlyn Charlesworth will all miss his presence in their lives.

John's life was filled with hard work, service and family. After serving our country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and becoming a Vietnam Veteran, John was a Coal Miner for over 20 years. He was blessed to live his dream of a rancher for the last 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Delbert Charlesworth and Alta Mae “Mickey” Charlesworth.

John is survived by his wife Joy Charlesworth, and their children John Eric Charlesworth and Jamie Megen Charlesworth, daughter-in law Tara Charlesworth, and his grandchildren Austin (18), Maya (12) and Kaitlyn (5); Son, Aaron Ray of Grand Junction, CO; Brother, Clark Charlesworth of Conifer, CO; and sister, Yvonne Charlesworth of Whitewater, CO.

Services for John will be held on Saturday Nov. 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Sonlight Four Square Church, 0355 CR 132 Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

A memorial fund has been set-up at US Bank to benefit the Charlesworth Family.
