Rick R. Windedahl, age 54, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 in Littlefield, Arizona at the home of his parents, Verlin and Arlene Windedahl. He was born Oct. 19, 1955, in Hamilton, Montana.
Rick grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota where he was a gold miner at the Homestake Gold Mine for many years. He loved to fish, camp, watch football, listen to music, play games, and make pictures on his computer. He later moved to Rifle, CO, with his family where he lived for seven years before moving between parts of Nevada and Arizona. Rick loved his family and time spent with friends. His simplicity in life will be remembered by all.
He is survived by his parents, Verlin and Arlene Windedahl of Littlefield, AZ; three children, Melissa Sander (Reid) of Dillon, CO, Steven Windedahl of Bullhead City, AZ and Jennifer Valencia (David) of Rifle, CO; his six grandchildren; two sisters, Twila Simms (Dee) of Cedaredge, CO, Sherry Windedahl of Parachute, CO; brother Carey Windedahl of Rapid City, SD; and several nieces and nephews.
