Mark Holloway was born Nov. 15, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pa. He was one of two sons born to Arthur and Catherine Holloway, and he grew up around the Philadelphia area.
After graduating from Abington High School he attended Hillsdale College in Michigan. He married his childhood sweetheart Ruby Barteau in 1946. They were married 63 years and had two children, Wendy Sue and Larry.
In 1950, Mark and Ruby packed up their belongings in a 1940 Plymouth and headed for Colorado, living in Denver and Colorado Springs before moving to Grand Junction where they lived for 55 years.
Mark worked for Beaver Mesa Uranium before cofounding, Management Services, with Robert Hirons in 1966. They provided accounting, tax and bookkeeping services, and in later years Sue and Larry joined him in the company. He semi-retired in 2007 and turned the company over to his children.
Mark was an active member of Heritage Church. He loved music and spent many happy hours playing the piano, organ and several other instruments. He was an avid golfer and loved to talk golf with anyone who would listen.
Mark is survived by his wife Ruby, son Larry (Lori), and daughter Sue (Randy) Cass, four grandchildren, and his trusty dog, Snoopy.
