Mary Elizabeth Broome, 40, and her dog, Precious, died in a car accident near Mexican Hat, Utah, on Dec. 7, 2009.
She was born on May 25, 1969 in Atlanta, Ga., to Barbara Broome and Harry Broome, who survive her.
She is also survived by Sandra Broome, Harry Broome Jr., Trey Cosby, and Shawn Broome Castino. Others deeply missing her are adoring nephews, nieces, in-laws, her dearest friend, Jimmy, and her dog, Aspen.
She is remembered for an always-present infectious smile, a million laughs, and the most generous kind spirit to ever grace the mountains of Colorado.
A memorial service will take place in the Colorado National Monument at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 at the Saddlehorn amphitheater near the west entrance Visitor Center.
