FORT COLLINS — A second-half rally lifted Olathe's girls basketball team to a 40-25 win over Coal Ridge in the Great Eight round of the Class 3A state playoffs on Thursday.
Despite the defeat, the Titans' stay at Colorado State University isn't over. They'll play either Holy Family or Brush at 11:45 a.m. Friday in the eight-team state tournament's consolation bracket.
Thursday marked the fourth time 3A Western Slope League mates Olathe and Coal Ridge met this season. The Pirates won all four.
The Titans are now 13-12 on the season. Olathe improved to 25-0.
