Donnie Ray Braden, Rifle, passed away at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Grand Junction, Colorado, on April 24, 2010 at the age of 69. He was born on June 16, 1940 to Ray and Lillian Braden in Holcombe, Wisconsin. He was the oldest of nine children.
Donnie was a Navy Veteran. He drove a logging truck for many years in Wisconsin and drove trucks for the Gas Industry. Donnie belonged to the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Rifle. He loved the mountains, hunting, fishing, and cutting firewood, that he would deliver from Parachute to Aspen.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents and son Ron. He is survived by his children; Crystal Ray, Norma Jean, Debra Ann, Carl Raymond, and Kelly Lynn, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brothers; Larry of Holcombe, WI, Norm of Grand Junction, CO, Carlyle of Burlington, WI, Gerald of Villa Grove, CO, Greyling of Monticello, WI, sisters; Yvonne Wilson of Rifle, CO, Rose Gould of Rifle, CO, Amy DuBoise of Twin Lakes, WI, and lifelong companion, Connie Hasbrouk.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Rifle, at noon with a viewing from 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
