Thomas Allen Miller, 63, of Grand Junction, died Aug. 17, 2010, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 1, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska to Harold Miller and Roberta Disney. Mr. Miller was a hard-working, self-employed man. He graduated high school, married his high school sweetheart, enlisted in the Navy and shipped off to Vietnam. He spent many years in the sales and service field. He owned Tom's Striping since 2007. The legacy of Tom's Striping will continue with the same hard work and dedication and will be provided by the loving support of his family.
He loved fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. He could muster up a genuine conversation with anybody whose path he crossed. He was always ready for a cold one.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Miller of Grand Junction; son Brian Miller of Aurora, Colorado; daughter Jodi Gillespie and husband Dan of Aurora, Colorado; son Toby Miller and wife Heidi of Parachute, Colorado; son Benjamin Miller of New Castle, Colorado; daughter K.C. Miller and husband Bryan Parmeter of New Castle, Colorado; brothers Herb Miller of Florida, Virgil Miller of Michigan, Richard Miller of Colorado, Jack Miller of Kentucky, Tony Miller of Colorado; and sisters Teddy Gutz of Texas, Sue Colson of Nebraska, Marcia Harding of Maryland, Dee Dee Bearden of Georgia, Doris Ryley of Nebraska, and Peggy Cunningham of Nebraska; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation is Saturday Aug. 21, from 6-9 p.m. at Martin Mortuary and a Celebration of Life service is Sunday Aug. 22, 2010 at 10 a.m., also at Martin Mortuary.
