DENVER (AP) — Parts of Colorado could get another soaking with more heavy rains predicted.
Flash flood watches are in effect until Tuesday night for western Colorado as well as the northern Front Range and northeastern plains.
The Summit Daily News reports that flooding on Monday washed away part of a road in Breckenridge. Highway 9 will be down to one lane while the road is repaired.
Conditions are much different in south central and southeastern Colorado, where drought conditions persist.
The National Weather Service says the area has seen more storms since La Nina conditions have dissipated in the spring but the precipitation has been spott
