Defiance appreciates Vaudeville fundraiser
The Defiance Community Players want to thank John Goss and The Glenwood Vaudeville Revue for their support with our benefit and silent auction June 24. It was a success. We had a full house. Many thanks to the businesses who donated items for the silent auction. We can now kick off our 2011 fall production of “Hair Spray” due to the generous support of John Goss at the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue and many local businesses.
If you haven't seen the new Vaudeville Revue summer show, call for your reservations today.

Appreciation for Alan for helping snag parking lot driver
I would like to extend a huge thank you to Alan, who took the time to stop the driver who backed into my vehicle on the evening of July 6 in the Target parking lot. He also got the woman's information for me, and went inside the store to photocopy it and have her sign it. She apparently was going to flee the scene. This is the second time in about three weeks someone has hit my vehicle in that lot. The first one was rude enough to flee after he or she slammed their red door into my white door, leaving it dented, scratched and a big sample of paint. You know who you are. You are not a good person.
Thank God there are still good Samaritans out there like Alan. We need more of that.
To the woman who hit my vehicle: The damage may seem minor to you, but it is an expensive vehicle and it will be expensive to repair, especially with the great and trusted auto repair shop I plan to use. I'm just glad you actually have insurance, and I hope that in the future you will be more careful and especially more honest. You know who you are.
To Alan, you are a prince among men! Thank you.
