Vet clinic offers 20 free wellness exams
Alpine Animal Hospital in Carbondale, in coordination with the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and 9News, is participating in the 9PetCheck — an effort to help economically disadvantaged pet owners get wellness examinations and rabies vaccinations for their dog or cat. To make an appointment, pet owners living on a restricted or low income or those who have recently lost their jobs must call the live phone bank open only from 4-6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 25. Appointments will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The toll-free number to call to make an appointment is (877) 667-6727.
These appointments are for wellness checks and rabies vaccinations only. If a pet is sick or injured, the animal's owner should contact a local veterinarian immediately.
