Pounce on the perfect pumpkin: For the second year, second-grade students from Glenwood Springs Elementary School were invited to visit the pumpkin patch at the First United Methodist Church on Cooper Avenue. Each student was given a free pumpkin. The Peter's Prophet Pumpkin Patch is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and offers pumpkins ranging in price from $1 to $10. The sale will continue all month until the pumpkins, grown in Olathe, are gone. Proceeds will benefit the church's youth group program.
