Two people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday as the result of a two-car accident on Highway 82, the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office said.
The wreck occurred shortly after 11 a.m. when a vehicle leaving Aspen-Pitkin County Airport attempted to turn left into the westbound lane of Highway 82 from Airport Road. An eastbound truck, headed toward Aspen, ran a red light and struck the vehicle.
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident.
