CARBONDALE, Colorado — Community leaders from eight spiritual and integral health organizations are hosting an interfaith gathering to help foster reconciliation for the community after the election battle over the Village at Crystal River proposal.

Hearts Healing, A Carbondale Community Gathering, is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at The Gathering Center at The Orchard on Snowmass Drive.

“We are asking our Carbondale community to join us, to honor each other and nurture our shared future, and to move forward together creatively and positively,” said organizer Oni Butterfly.

The overall goal is to help restore friendships and civic health.

Inspiration and guidance from several spiritual traditions will be offered, with music performed by Two Rivers Unitarian Universalist's music director, Jimmy Byrne, and Jerry Alcorta of The Orchard Life.

Appetizers will be served from 10 Carbondale restaurants, and everyone is invited to bring cookies to share.

“We expect this event to be an expression and outpouring of the goodwill that is a hallmark of our town and valley,” Butterfly said.
