CARBONDALE, Colorado — Garfield County Clerk Jean Alberico has just released results after counting 1,912 ballots cast in the special town of Carbondale election over approvals for the Village at Crystal River development.
Voters appear to have rejected the development proposal by a wide margin, 1,245 votes to 667.
That's a percentage split of 35 percent in favor of the development and 65 percent opposed.
Voter turnout in the special main-in election was 66 percent, with 1,912 ballots cast out of 2,890 ballots mailed out to voters, according to Alberico.
